New Year is a time of sun, sand and sailing for me and not all in that order! I'm writing this at one of the special places I love to visit, Kawau Island. Kawau is a small island north of Auckland - almost a place time has forgotten. No roads, very few people (except at the height of summer) and a way of life so relaxed, sometimes it feels as if time is going backwards.

Hi Michel Brrr... Snow! We're basking in hot summer temperatures here at Kawau. The sun has risen on another scorcher. I don't think I'll be long out of the water today. I can't imagine how cold snow is - it doesn't snow here at all. Toni

Oh... I'm in Brazil so, it's summer here right now. :) New Year's is fireworks at the beach. Kawau is stunning and a special place, MC. A front came through this morning, bringing much needed rain. The mist hung low over the water. It looks especially beautiful when this happens.

Judy, isn't that what is so wonderful about a book - it can transport you anywhere! In CATCH, Matt and Tamsen will take you to Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. In PRIVATE LOVE IN A PUBLIC PLACE, you can visit Fiji, Australia, Singapore and whole host of European countries with Julian and Mags and the band. Where are my characters going to take me this year? The possibilities are endless. But I can tell you that in RETURN TO ALA MOANA BEACH, Ty and Lulu will take you to Hawaii. There are just so many virtual places to visit!

A place that is special, almost magical to me is my home in Colo. This time of year more so because it has the snow, mtns, forests of pine trees and that wonderful smell.The lights seem as bright as the stars and the air is so clear and crisp. Hi April, my cat used to sit by me on the couch when I was reading. Unfortunately, we lost him to cancer this year... :( he's still sadly missed. There's something special about a cuddle and a hot drink, isn't there?
